Responsibilities

• Be responsible for mechanical, plumbing and fire protection engineering design from conceptual design through construction administration
• Design mechanical systems, including heating, cooling, heat rejection, air and water distribution, ventilation, air conditioning, building automation and controls.
• Design plumbing systems, including domestic cold / hot water, storm and sanitary drainage, natural gas systems
• Design fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, standpipe systems and fire pumps.
• Prepare contract drawings and specifications detailing the system designed
• Coordinate with multiple disciplines delivering a holistic and outcome driven results on projects.
• Supervise, mentor, and train junior staff on a variety of projects, both for Buildings and Linear Infrastructure.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
• 8-10 years of experience in the built environment
• Strong knowledge of building services and mechanical engineering fundamentals
• Professional Engineering License in Canada or ability to obtain the License in 12 months.
• LEED or other sustainability accreditation an asset
• Understanding of BIM and Revit MEP
