Responsibilities

• Facilitates weekly virtual Diversity, Equity and Inclusion workshops via Zoom, designed to increase the understanding and capacity of sport leagues/associations to:
  • Promote belonging among all athletes and families;
  • Interrupt racism, sexism, ablism, and exclusionary practices in sport; and
  • Diversify recruitment strategies to create more representative leagues
• Manages the zoom technology required for the virtual training-workshop experience (waiting rooms, chat function, breakout rooms etc.)
• Facilitates Q&A with training participants after the formal training-workshop
• Submits a debrief report after each session to the supervising manager

Experience

• Experience educating around the topics of diversity, equity and inclusion
• Working knowledge of the current climate of social justice, race-relations, colonization and inclusion as it pertains to the context of Canada and sport
• Experience working alongside/with historically marginalized communities
• Excellent communication abilities
• Strong technology skills to handle Zoom functions while facilitating
