Role & Responsibilities

• Maintain financial records (including but not limited to coding and posting invoices preparing and posting journal entries and month-end accruals)
• Complete timely month end procedures
• Process and administer payroll including payment of commissions
• Prepare monthly reconciliations of different accounts
• Manage supplier payments and monitor accounts payable/ aging.
• Prepare and submit all government remittances ensuring adherence to pertinent legislation.
• Maintain current knowledge of regulatory changes and impacts on the company’s financial accounts

Skills

• One to two years of accounts payable or accounting related experience
• Completion of a 3-year post-secondary diploma in accounting
• Ability to work independently and to adapt to a fast-changing environment
• To have a strong knowledge of process and procedure and be able to manage a growing workload.
• A high level of proficiency on MS Office with emphasis on Excel
• Expertise with accounting software
• To be organized and detail oriented
• To demonstrate effective communication skills
• Able to work from home
