What you’ll do here:

• Participate in preparing the skeleton of the quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements of Intact Financial Corporation, ensuring compliance with disclosure requirements best disclosure practices
• Participate in preparing quarterly and annual presentations and summaries of financial results
• Contribute in the facilitation of the audit processes with the external auditors
• Participate in the documentation of IFRS 17 accounting positions
• Contribute to the analysis of the impacts of IFRS 17 on public and regulatory financial disclosure
• Participate in the definition, optimization and implementation of new financial reporting processes and financial systems to meet the requirements of IFRS 17
• Participate in various projects that may involve complex issues such as financial transformation

What you bring to the table:

• CPA title (CA, CMA or CGA) or near completion
• Minimum of five years experience pertinent to complex accounting transactions (e.g. acquisitions, sales, foreign currencies, etc.)
• Solid written and oral communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills. Ability to interact with various individuals from all organizational levels, including VP Finance and Controller and certain external stakeholders
• Quick learning capacity and high appetite for change
• Strong analytical and synthesis skills, and rigor
• Leadership and teamwork skills, efficient and autonomous
• Ability to work under pressure and handle stress well
• French is an asset
• Knowledge of Oracle, Hyperion or of the implementation of these tools are an asset
