Job Responsibilities : Accounts Payable Clerk
Salary : 16 per hour

Location : Halton, ON CA
- Processes invoices for payment of goods and services purchased by the Regional Municipality of Halton and Halton Community Housing Corporation in a timely manner, in accordance with by-laws, Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), vendor payment terms and in compliance with internal control procedures. Reviews employee expense claims for compliance with corporate policies and processes payments in a timely manner.
- Ensures financial transactions have the appropriate authorizations, general ledger account distribution and tax calculations.
- Reconciles vendor statements by analyzing transactions and researching discrepancies (including purchase card transactions and vendor invoice uploads).
- Assists Regional staff and internal and external auditors with financial inquiries.
- Assists with a variety of accounting tasks within Finance.
- Maintains record keeping (electronic and paper).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
