Spare is looking for an Engineering Manager to join our team!

Do you have experience:

• Leading or managing other engineers;
• With a stack similar to ours (we work with Node.js, TypeScript, React, React Native);
• Working in a company that has their own product;
• With infrastructure, automated testing, continuous integration, and managing software delivery into production;

Then come join Spare where you will:

• Report directly to our CTO, impacting both product strategy and execution;
• Work hands-on supporting a full stack team;
• Coach your direct reports (5 to 7, including leads) with regular 1on1s, growing existing engineers and also new team members as we’re in growing mode;
• Create and articulate engineering goals, define quarterly objectives, and develop strategies to deliver more value to customers;
• Develop and maintain the processes that keep the engineering teams running at full speed;
• Lead by example. Increase code quality, decrease time to market for roadmapped features, and innovate with your team;
• Own a part of Spare’s codebase and documentation through active participation in code reviews and technical design meetings;
• Write and maintain robust, efficient and maintainable code using a variety of languages, frameworks and tools, including React, React Native, Node.js and TypeScript;
