- 2+ years of non-internship professional software experience
- Programming experience with at least one modern language such as , , C++, or including object-oriented .
- Programming experience with frontend frameworks and tools like and Redux. Experience translating mockups and prototypes into working frontend application designs and code.
- 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current .
- Able to work in a diverse team
AWS Backup enables customers to centralize and automate protection across AWS services. AWS Backup offers a cost-effective, fully managed, policy-based service that further simplifies protection at scale. AWS Backup also helps our customers to support their regulatory compliance obligations and meets their business continuity goals.
We are looking for a passionate Frontend Engineer to grow this service and help with adding features and integration with other AWS services. If you are an applications engineer, and you have the skills to create large scale web applications then we are looking for you.
This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a team designing a solution within a fast growing business, shape the technology, product and the business. You should bring technical and software expertise, the ability to deliver solid code that has a broad business impact and the ability to create software that achieves its operational goals.
Our team puts a value on work-life balance. Most days, our entire team is co-located in the Vancouver office, but we’re also flexible when people occasionally need to work from home and adapt well to the unusual circumstances like current pandemic where the entire team is working remotely. We generally keep core in-office hours from 10am to 4pm in normal circumstances.
This position involves on-call responsibilities typically for one week every three months.. We don’t like getting paged in the middle of the night or on the weekend, so we work to ensure that our are fault tolerant. When we do get paged, we work together to resolve the root cause so that we don’t get paged for the same issue twice.
